I Bought a Crepe in Mitane Town, Akita
Guten Nacht. This is makoto.
I enjoy "Golden Week" now. Golden Week is a holidays' week in Japan. We spend it by - for example - going back to our hometown, traveling, etc.
Today I went to Mitane Town with my mother and aunt. Mitane Town is in northern area of Akita Prefecture. And, Akita Prefecture is in northern area of Japan. It is near Hokkaido! We stopped for michi-no-eki(a station for cars). There were many kinds of vegetables, fruits, souvenirs, bento, etc. I found crepes in the shop. I chose a cherry blossom crepe. I chilled it in the refrigerator in my aunt's car.
I was surprised with the existence of cherry-blossom-flavored sweets because I usually saw no sweets of the flowers in May. But why can we see them in May? I think the productors wanna make the atmosphere of early spring now. It is good for expressing Japanese spring and culture. On the other side, people may think they wanna eat more seasonal food than cherry blossoms. For example, daifuku with an oak leaf. It is eaten in May 5 because it is Kodomo-no-Hi(a holiday for children, especially boys) this day. It is delicious, but it has no smell. So I wanna enjoy cherry blossoms by food because I love the leaves' ethical flavor. I also love their pink colored pedals. I hope you will enjoy your favorite seasons.
I will eat cherry blossom crepe made in Mitane Town this evening💗🌸💗
